One might actually come up with an idea that Nigerian youths are lazy, but the question is, What are they doing?, On what grounds are they actually considered lazy?. I was lost in a deep thought about this statement and I realized that its actually a simple question but questionable. the statement was believed to be a counter alteration by most youths today.
Realistically it is true that youths are lazy but the statement should be "some nigerian youth are lazy", but the problem is not the statement, the problem it's from the government. What do I mean by this?, now saying that Nigerian youths are lazy implies that you as a government has enough opportunities and empowerment available for them already, but in a situation where the government is not working out to provide or make available enough job opportunities for the youth how can they actually prove that youth in nigeria are lazy?.
That is why I said my concern is not based on the statement but the thing that has kept me wondering is what has what is the government doing to make things better let's consider this scenario if I am to say my employee in the company is lazy, I would have to ask myself first what job have I made available for him or her and how is he or her responding to the duties that would help me gather some proof.
Statement are very simple to make but some of the need to be thought of before saying it. It is true that nigerian economy is not growing efficiently, but it is also true that the efficiency of the enemy of nigeria today won't be actualized if there are no youths in the country 80% of off the economy today is made possible by the youth if only the government can use them rightly instead of pronouncing critical speeches against them, Nigerian will be restructured as earnestly desired.
The problems we are facing now are all the process of evolution and development. Most developed countries like United States, Japan China and even Britain have found these problems one time or the other, the important thing of note is that these countries identified their major problems and were. poised to solve them.
There is there is a popular adage that say thats "when a problem is identified then we are on our way solving it". Nigeria has suffered more from leadership crisis than any other crisis. T There are prospects for the nigerian economy especially that we have opportunities to elect new managers of the economy.
The salvation of this country rest on the quality of leaders that are elected to run it, there is an adage that says that "doing same thing same time same way expecting another result is another definition of madness" funny enough!. The youth of nigeria today are really trying but what does the government really want them to do to prove the diligence and devotedness to the country?, that is the question that leaders should ask themselves.
Most youths in nigeria are ready to serve but the problem is, there is no enlightenment from the government this I have made youths who have long for the government response to move in search of greener pastures since the government is not a a place to rely on, why some move into cultism drug addiction, drug dealing, bribery and corruption and other related vices to mention but a few.
Indeed the saying that nigeria is a contraption has some sense in it. youths are pillars of the country, churches, and most association , criticising them will cause mayhem to the country at large. youth is a stage of the juvenility when young people still need a lot of attention to build a better society, bringing their shame to their faces without proferring solution will make them feel worse.
there are lots of youthful decadence even in other countries , but they were able to know what their youths actually needs and where improvement is needed and tackle them accordingly. Our country's youthful decadence grows rapidly because our leaders exhaust a whole lot of time for this criticizing them rather than find the root of the problem. Even in the bible if a good thing reigns good things happen in the country, the problem of nigeria is not the youth but the leaders youth have chosen their path out of frustration.

So as leaders show good example that you will be able to encourage youths to be up and doing patriotic citizens in the societies. the claim that nigerian youths are lazy is not entirely true but if we can call them back to order they can make us proud as they emerge as our future leaders.
